I have always been interested in black and white photography. I also enjoy the creative and unexpected results of using infrared film and alternative processes.
For many years my subjects have been myself, my surroundings and experiences, and the important people in my life. When I married and started a family, my pregnancies, husband, children and golden retriever also entered my images.
My family's old snapshots intrigue me and I have explored memory by using them in relation to my own photographs. I recently completed a large cyanotype quilt called "Dearest Daughter" which celebrates the relationship between my mother and myself through our correspondence, family photos, and new images.
